Monday Motivation: Let it Go!

Ever consider spring cleaning your mind? Clearing the clutter from your mind can help you focus on the future and lead a more joyful life. Where can you start? Here are ideas to inspire you and support you to let it go!

  • Let go of worry. What good will it do you?

  • Let go of fear. You’ve got this!

  • Let go of insecurity. Confidence looks so much better on you!

  • Let go of negative thoughts. Make a list of your blessings instead. 

  • Let go of judgement. Who am I to judge? 

  • Let go of gossip. When have I walked in their shoes?

  • Let go of anger. Forgiveness feels better and will nourish your soul.

  • Let go of hate. Love always wins.

  • Let go of regret. Look towards the future.

Still not letting it go?

I can relate. Old habits are hard to break. Worry comes with motherhood. So does losing your temper. I’m still afraid of the dark. When I forget to count my blessings, I usually find something to complain about. The grass is always greener on the other side, until you see it up close. Self confidence doesn’t come naturally. I’m still a work in progress. Aren’t we all? Writing things down on paper helps me focus and clear the clutter from my mind. How ready are you to “let it go?” Whatever “it” is for you, release it.

Dig Deeper & Journal It! 

Make two lists: one of all of the things in your life that feed you and bring you joy, then a second with all of the things that bring you down. 

  • How can you let go of the negative things to make room for more joy? Write out an action plan and hold yourself accountable with a timeline.

  • What would your life look like if it was only filled with things that nourish your spirit? Draw or paste a picture that reflects your hope for the future. You might be closer than you think to realizing your dreams.
