How Can I Be the Blessing?

This week I’ve been reflecting on that very question. My hope is that by connecting, exploring and storytelling we can all be a blessing to each other. Realizing that we are much more alike than we are different. It’s been almost a month now since I launched Zabelicious Life. I’m touched by the positive feedback from readers.

Thank you for taking a ride on the Zabelicious wheel of life with me. I’m so glad you decided to visit and join in on the fun! My goal is to continue to bring you joy and inspiration through my stories and recipes. My white board is still bursting with ideas and I have lots of stories in the works. So stay tuned for more feel good posts to lift you up.

This week we released our final angel into cyberspace. We will announce the winner of our Virtual Angel Campaign and Giveaway later this week. Four lucky winners will be chosen to receive angel notecards, designed by artist Karen Tarlton, who will be featured in Zabelicious Life’s “Inspiring Stories.” Find out how she followed her passion for art and realized her dream. It’s never too late to follow yours. You’d be surprised how doing something you love can be a blessing to others, simply by spreading positivity.

Blessings come in many forms. Stories of simple acts of kindness and the ripple effect were shared with me by several friends recently.

One person said they bought a coffee for the person next to them in line, who was short on cash. That man was brought to tears, because he had recently lost his wife and it was his first time getting coffee without her.

Another friend mentioned giving up her seats at a sporting event for two young boys who were strangers. Their aunt later explained how touched they were by the gesture, which was the first bright spot in their life, since recently losing their father.

We never know what someone else is going through. Sometimes a simple hello or a smile can make a world of difference and be the blessing.
