Virtual Angels Among Us

Virtual angels are everywhere. In fact, one flew to my inbox just the other day. This was no ordinary angel, it was adorned in a rainbow of colors with a quote by Mary Davis:

“May angels watch over you and guide your every step.”

I’m not sure why, but I was particularly drawn to that exquisite angel and the prayer lifted my spirits. I felt a need to share the message of hope with others immediately. I sent the heavenly image, with my own personal note to family and friends. My angels soared through cyberspace and friends replied almost as quickly as they landed, some simultaneously.

The response was overwhelming. Described as serendipitous by most, the virtual angels were just the boost they needed to brighten their day. Some saw it as a sign of divine intervention. I learned of four people in my circle, who were in need of angels watching over them or their family, due to a health crisis.

  • One friend announced that her daughter had to have an emergency c-section.  She welcomed the prayer as a blessing for the new mother and her twin girls, which were delivered prematurely. Good news! Prayers have been answered. Both babies are home now and thriving.

  • Another friend commented, “the angel appeared at a critical moment, just as my daughter was en route to the emergency room after a skiing accident.”

  • My friend who’s battling cancer said the spiritual message brought comfort, as she coped with the disappointing news that her chemo treatment had to be postponed.

  • Another friend had been hospitalized due to complications from a recent surgery, said she was grateful for the timing of the angel’s visit, which brightened her dreary day.

Everyone said how impactful that virtual angel was to them on that day. Whether they were facing a health crisis or not, they were all feeling overwhelmed and despondent by the current state of turmoil in our world. One friend summed it up best:

“Just as I was wondering how in this world we are going to survive, you reminded me there are many good people with great kids that will keep us moving ahead. This angel gives me hope for our future!”

Those are only a few of the stories keeping the guardian angels busy this week.

Are you or someone you know in need of a virtual angel visit?

I thought maybe by sharing it here, we could continue to spread the good news! There are virtual angels among us. It only takes a few strokes of a keyboard to make it happen.

Would you consider sharing a similar message with an angel, uplifting quote or image that might help restore our faith in humanity?
It might be exactly what a friend or family member needs to persevere in these unsettling times.
