Cranberry Sauce

I can’t imagine Thanksgiving without homemade cranberry sauce. It’s one of my must-have sides. My neighbor in Minnesota used to bring homemade cranberry sauce to me every year as a gift. Ever since we moved to Wisconsin, I’ve been making my own. Each year it’s a little different. Instead of using sugar and. water, I prefer to sweeten my sauce with apple cider, orange marmalade, and agave nectar. If you’d rather not have the apple flavor, use more marmalade and agave as sweeteners and substitute water for the apple cider. I’ve also used orange juice instead of apple cider. Consider making a double batch because the possibilities for leftovers are endless. Your kitchen will smell heavenly once you start boiling this mixture .
