Safe Spring Break Ideas

Looking for a safe way to travel this spring break?

As the COVID vaccine rollout is well underway, many states are slowly opening up. However, we still have to be more cautious this year. Here are some safe spring break ideas to consider.

Seaside Retreat

Rent a cottage so you can cook your meals or order in. Find a quiet stretch of beach to avoid crowds. Book excursions or rental gear ahead of time. Ready to soak up some sun and dip your toes in the sand? Check out my travel pages to find out where you can catch the best ocean views.

Hit the Slopes

Ski in and out of a secluded mountain cabin for the ultimate social distanced trip. Have food delivered. Read the fine lines when ordering passes online to make sure you aren’t traveling during black out dates. Some resorts require advance parking reservations if you aren’t staying on site. Create an apres ski ambiance for your family around the fire with a s'mores board.

Go Camping

Take a road trip and explore the great outdoors! Prepare food in advance and spend more time enjoying the wilderness. Reserve your campsite ahead of time. Discover travel tips and pass info through the National Park Service. Find Zabelicious to-go recipes on my food pages, including beef stew, energy bites and my famous cookies.

Staycation

Plan excursions close to home, so it feels like you are on a trip. Organize a scavenger hunt. Mix up your meals. Try pancakes for dinner. Eat dessert first. Picnic in your PJ’s. Break out the fondue pot and play a little Twister. Take photos and scrapbook your adventures.

Be safe

Drive when possible to limit contact with others. If you fly anywhere, follow CDC guidelines.
