Mocktails

Booze free beverages don’t have to be boring. In fact, these mocktails created by Michelle Duvall are so flavorful, you won’t even miss the alcohol. As co-owner of Blind Shot Social Club, in Madison, Wisconsin, Duvall has curated an impressive list of inventive drinks (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic) with eccentric names, usually with a nod to a favorite movie, or song. Duvall says part of the fun is listening to customers guess where the names came from. I recently had a chance to sample three of her favorite mocktails, which taste like a Mezcal Cherry Sour, Passionfruit Tequila Sour, and a Sparkling Rose Spritzer. All three of these drinks are on Blind Shot's current non-alcoholic cocktail menu, with names as unique as the mocktails themselves. My personal favorite was the Mezcal mocktail for it’s unique flavors. The Sparkling Rose Spritzer was a close second, perfect for a spring day. The Passionfruit Tequila Sour was a sweet treat to finish my sampling. Blind Shot sell the N/A spirits and wine listed in the recipes below by the bottle, in their retail section. Once you try one of Duvall’s drinks, I suspect you’ll want to sample the fabulous food as well. Our family first discovered Blind Shot, when we were booked one of their state of the art golf simulator suites and we’ve been fans ever since. The mid-century modern vibe is a fun venue for all ages, with stacks of board games to play, if golf isn’t your thing. Here are three mocktail recipes for you to try mixing at home. Cheers!
