When I first moved to Waunakee nearly fourteen years ago, I had zero interest in planting seeds of kindness, or growing a new garden of friendship. I was too sad about being uprooted from the soil of my home state of Minnesota and the flowers I left behind. The kids were little and I was lucky to get a few pots planted. Now they have grown and I am older and wiser. I realize what a gift each seed of kindness is and treasure my time in any garden of friendship. Mine blooms wildly now and produces joyful bouquets. Several families moved into our neighborhood recently and we have two new babies on the block. I look forward to sprinkling some new seeds this spring and watching them grow.
