Meditate. Balance. Repeat.

Hello, friends! I hope you are having a wonderful week and are ready to face whatever comes your way today. I know I am, because I started my day with meditation.

It’s part of my new morning routine. If you’ve never tried it, I highly recommend it. Meditate. Balance. Repeat.

It helps me clear my thoughts and focus on an intention for the day. Meditation is not something that came easily to me.

I’m a doer and mover. Sitting still is not something I excel at. I like to keep busy. One thing I have discovered during the pandemic, is the power in the pause. I found clarity and even joy in solitude. Meditation has helped me find inner peace and balance. It also reduces stress and allows me to be fully present.

Meditating first thing in the morning works best for me, even just for five or ten minutes. Occasionally, I also do it at bedtime. It’s part of my commitment to recharge and reset for better health and wellbeing.

Today I choose balance as my intention.

I will strive for balance in my body and mind. If I’m feeling off balance or overwhelmed, I’ll take another few minutes to clear my mind and meditate again later today.

Here are my simple tips for meditation:

  • Find a cozy, quiet space indoors or outdoors

  • Close your eyes and clear your mind

  • Take several deep breaths and focus on the breaths

  • Practice gratitude

  • Choose an intention or mantra for the day

Not sure where to start to select an intention or personal mantra?

  • Be authentic and create one based on your goals

  • Find inspiration on meditation apps like calm.com or purchase a set of motivation cards

Meditation has been proven to increase creativity and productivity.

  • Consider giving it a try. Start small with just a few minutes daily to develop a habit you can stick with.

  • Meditate. Balance. Repeat. It’s that easy!

How could meditation benefit you? Journal it!

What intention would you like to set for yourself today? Journal it!

Take time to quiet your mind, meditate and make your soul happy!
